State Waters Open to Pensacola Fishing Charters

We’re happy to report that we are fishing in the recently opened state waters and seeing outstanding results!  Effective August 10, 2010 at 6 p.m. eastern time (5 p.m. central time), NOAA reopened the Gulf federal waters to Pensacola fishing charters for finfish harvest.

5,144 square miles (13,323 sq km) of area had been previously closed to commercial and recreational fishing in the Gulf of Mexico.  This area has been clean and clear for months and is producing great results.

State waters are completely opened to all fishing and we have been running several charters.  Other Pensacola fishing charters also report great trips recently.  We’re also now able to transport through any closed area to get to some of our best spots, so we’re basically unlimited on being able to take anglers to some of our best spots.  With temperatures and heat indexes dropping slightly, now is one of the most ideal times to book a charter and get out there to catch some fish!
